News: Wrong-way driver dies days after fiery crash on I-275

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A woman died on December 23 from injuries sustained in a crash on I-275 on December 19, Tampa Bay Times reports.

Katisha McTier, 33, was driving an SUV when she collided head-on with a van driven by a 62-year-old woman. The impact caused the SUV to catch on fire.

First responders transported both drivers to an area hospital. McTier died on December 23. The van driver survived her injuries.

The exact location on I-275 where the collision occurred is unclear.
