ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A woman is facing criminal charges after authorities say she struck and killed a pedestrian while driving drunk in St. Petersburg.
According to WTSP, 43-year-old Olga Davis was arrested following the incident Monday afternoon in the area of 89th Avenue North and 4th Street North Police said Davis was speeding while driving a Subaru Impreza at about 1:30 p.m. when she lost control of the vehicle. She struck a man who was walking south on the west sidewalk of 4th Street. The Subaru then hit an office building at 8934 4th Street North.
The pedestrian, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Davis was initially transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and was subsequently arrested on charges of DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide and DUI property damage.
