DADE CITY, FL – One driver was killed and another injured when their vehicles collided in Dade City Friday morning, reports The Suncoast News.
The accident happened in the area of U.S. Route 301 and Owans Road at about 11:17 a.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said a 30-year-old woman was driving a Lincoln Town Car on U.S. 301 when she crossed the center line and entered the path of a Chevy Traverse driven by a 73-year-old man.
The cars crashed nearly head-on, with the Chevy then colliding with an unoccupied Ford Focus in a nearby parking lot.
The Chevy driver, an Ormond Beach resident, was pronounced dead at an area hospital. The Lincoln driver, a resident of Webster, was listed in serious condition. It was not yet clear what caused her to cross over the center line.
