PASCO COUNTY, FL – A pedestrian died after she was struck by a pickup truck in Pasco County early Monday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
According to The Suncoast News, the 35-year-old victim was walking east across U.S. Route 301 near Delong Road at about 12:23 a.m. when she entered the path of a pickup heading north on the highway.
The pedestrian, a Dade City resident, was hit by the vehicle and died at the scene. The truck was driven b a 53-year-old man from Ridge Manor.
The fatal crash is under investigation by the FHP.
