
TAMPA, FL – A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle at an intersection in Tampa early Tuesday morning, reports the Tampa Bay Times.
The incident happened in the East Lake-Orient Park neighborhood just after 5 a.m. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was struck while walking in the road in the area of Harney Road and East Hillsborough Avenue.
The man, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead after being transported to Tampa General Hospital. No information was released regarding the driver.
All lanes on Harney Road were shut down following the incident, and traffic was delayed through the area.
