Police investigate fatal crash near Cory Lake Isles

TAMPA, FL – A driver died from his injuries after crashing into oncoming traffic at Cross Creek Blvd and Grand Isle Dr Thursday, WTSP reports.

The victim, a 19-year-old male, was driving a Nissan Altima at a high rate of speed east on Cross Creek Blvd when he lost control of his vehicle and crossed the median into the path of an oncoming Toyota Rav 4.

First responders transported the driver of the Altima to an area hospital, where he died the next day. The driver of the Rav4 was mildly injured in the incident.

The wreck is under investigation by the police.
