
BRADENTON, FL – Police are searching for a driver who struck a motorcyclist in Bradenton Monday night and then left the scene, WFLA reports.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident, which happened at the intersection of 26th Street West and 38th Avenue West shortly before 8 p.m.
The victim, 31-year-old Jimmy Bynum, was hit by a Hyundai Sonata and sustained two broken legs.
His sister, Melissa Shelby, said she collected some parts from the Hyundai the following day and will turn over the evidence to the FHP.
Bynum’s family is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol.
