TAMPA, FL – Authorities say a woman was killed when her vehicle was struck by another driver in Hillsborough County Sunday, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a man was speeding and changing lanes erratically while going east on Hillsborough Avenue when he lost control of his SUV near Countryway Boulevard at about 2:45 p.m.
The vehicle overturned, crossed a median into a westbound lane and crashed into another SUV driven by a 51-year-old Tampa woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The first driver, a 59-year-old Tampa man, was seriously injured. The identities of the two drivers have not yet been released. There was no word on whether charges will be filed.
