TAMPA, FL – A bicyclist was fatally injured in a hit-and-run collision in the College Hills community of Tampa on Tuesday, according to Tampa PD.

On 8-29-21, the victim was riding his bicycle westbound on 28th Ave and turned into an intersection on 22nd Street where he was struck by a vehicle. pic.twitter.com/33B1h9X14z
The victim was riding west on 28th Ave. He was struck by a gold or beige Nissan Altima at the intersection with 22nd St. The driver and passenger of the Altima returned to the scene to interact with the victim. They then left before first responders arrived on the scene.
EMS crews took the victim to a nearby hospital where they died from their injuries.
