
ST. PETERSBURG, FL – One woman was killed and another was injured when their car crashed in St. Petersburg Tuesday, according to WTSP.
The accident occurred as a 58-year-old woman driving a Lexus sedan was trying to merge from Pasadena Avenue onto 66th Street. Investigators determined that she lost control of the car and struck a guardrail. The vehicle then crossed over the median, slammed into a tree and flipped over.
The driver was pronounced dead at an area hospital. An 85-year-old woman who was the only passenger in the car was hospitalized with injuries that were said to be life-threatening.
The accident remains under investigation.
