HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – One person was killed and five others were injured when two sport utility vehicles collided in Hillsborough County Saturday night, according to the Tampa Bay Reporter.
The accident occurred on State Road 574 west of Dover Road at about 7 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of an SUV lost control after trying to pull around a vehicle on SR-574. The driver of another SUV swerved to the right but was unable to avoid the crash.
The first SUV overturned and a passenger, a 20-year-old Dover man, died of his injuries at an area hospital. Another passenger, a 23-year-old man, was seriously hurt in the accident. The driver sustained minor injuries.
A 49-year-old woman who was driving the second SUV and her two passengers suffered minor injuries.
