
WINTER HAVEN, FL – Two people were killed in a crash on U.S. Highway 27 in Polk County Wednesday morning, Fox 13 News reports.
The accident involved a semi-truck and another vehicle, and occurred near the intersection with Cypress Gardens Boulevard in Winter Haven.
Authorities have not yet released information regarding the two victims or the circumstances that led to the collision, which is under investigation.
The southbound lanes of U.S. 27 were shut down for several hours while the wreckage was being cleared, with one lane reopening at about 10 a.m.
