BROOKSVILLE, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said two drivers have died from injuries suffered in a collision in Brooksville last week.
The Suncoast News reports the accident happened on Broad Street near Twingate Avenue at about 1:12 p.m. on Thursday.
According to state troopers, a 70-year-old man was driving a sedan north on Broad Street when he entered the southbound lane and crashed into a sedan driven by a 50-year-old man. Both vehicles rotated and wound up on a shoulder of the road. The 70-year-old motorist was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver passed away on Friday at a local hospital. Both were residents of Brooksville whose names were not released.
