HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – Two drivers were injured, one seriously, when their cars collided on Interstate 4/State Road 400 late Wednesday night.
According to the Tampa Bay Reporter, the accident occurred west of McIntosh Road in Hillsborough County at about 11:53 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said a 24-year-old man was driving a car at a high rate of speed when he crashed into the rear of a sedan on I-4 east. The first car then hit a concrete barrier wall.
The 24-year-old driver, a resident of Waldorf, Maryland, suffered serious injuries. The other driver, a 42-year-old man from Land O’Lakes, sustained minor injuries in the wreck.
