WESLEY CHAPEL, FL – Two drivers were injured when their vehicles collided on a Pasco County highway, state troopers said.
The Tampa Bay Times reports a 21-year-old woman was driving on Interstate 75 in Wesley Chapel at about 2 a.m. Sunday morning when one of her tires blew out. The incident caused her vehicle to go across the highway, strike a highway median barrier and hit another car on I-75 near State Road 56. The first car caught fire as a result of the crash.
The woman, an Ocoee resident, and the other driver, a 28-year-old man from Zephyrhills, were injured and transported to an area hospital. No details were released on the extent of their injuries.
