HUDSON, FL – A bicyclist died after being struck by a car on a highway in Pasco County early Sunday, Fox 13 News reports.
The accident happened on U.S. 19 near Fulton Avenue north of Hudson at about 6:20 a.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the victim was a 39-year-old man who was trying to ride across U.S. 19 westbound on his bicycle. He was hit by a car driven by a 76-year-old Tarpon Springs man.
The bicycle rider, a Spring Hill resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released.
