TRINITY, FL – A bicyclist died after being struck by two cars and a motorcycle at the intersection of Mitchell Boulevard and Welbilt Boulevard on Thursday, Sept. 3.
The Tampa Bay Times reported that the 27-year-old bicyclist from Salem, Ore., was heading east on Mitchell Blvd at roughly 2:40 a.m. when a motorcyclist, also going east, hit him. Both riders were thrown from their bikes. The motorcyclist, aged 34, suffered serious injuries after landing in the shoulder of the road.
The bicyclist landed in the roadway, where he was struck by two oncoming vehicles. He died at the scene.
Police are investigating this accident and have not released the identities of the drivers of the cars.
