BRADENTON, FL – A woman has passed away from injuries suffered in an accident in Manatee County last week, according to state troopers.
WWSB reports the victim was a 60-year-old Bradenton woman who was involved in a crash on State Road 70 on June 21 at about 1:40 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said she was driving a sedan when she was hit from behind near 39th Street East by an SUV driven by an 18-year-old Bradenton woman. As both vehicles stopped in the right lane, the sedan driver exited her car to talk to the other driver. At that point a third vehicle collided with the SUV, which then hit the sedan driver as she stood in the road.
The victim was critically injured and transported to an area hospital, where she died on Sunday. The FHP is continuing its investigation into the crash.
