SAN ANTONIO, FL – An accident in Pasco County Thursday morning shut down a stretch of Interstate 75 and left three people injured.
According to The Suncoast News, the driver of a sedan lost control on I-75 south after the vehicle had a flat tire near the exit for State Road 52 at about 11:35 a.m. The car went across the highway, overturned and hit a center guardrail. All three men inside were taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries, the Florida Highway Patrol said. They were the driver, a 47-year-old Adel, Georgia resident, and two passengers: a 47-year-old from Nashville, Georgia and a 56-year-old Melbourne, Florida resident.
Portions of the southbound lanes of I-75 were closed to traffic for over two hours while the accident scene was being cleared.
