TAMPA, FL – A collision between two vehicles near International Plaza in Tampa Tuesday afternoon left two people dead and another injured, reports the Tampa Bay Times.
Tampa police said a Nissan Frontier was heading north on Manhattan Avenue and crossing Boy Scout Boulevard when it was hit by a Jeep at the intersection at about 4:15 p.m.
The driver and a passenger in the Nissan died in the crash. Their identities were not immediately released. The driver of the Jeep was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Boy Scout Boulevard was closed off to traffic between Westshore Avenue and Manhattan Avenue for several hours after the incident.
