TAMPA, FL – Authorities were at the scene of a crash near a high school in Manatee County Tuesday morning.
WFLA reports the accident involving a sedan and a pickup truck occurred near Caruso Road in front of Braden River High School. There was no immediate information regarding injuries.
The incident caused major traffic backups along State Road 70 west as well as on I-75. Drivers were advised to take 68th Street and State Road 64 as alternate routes.
The crash occurred on the first day of classes at the high school.
