ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A driver was seriously injured when his pickup truck crashed into a house in St. Petersburg Sunday morning, according to WTSP.
Police said the man was heading south on 49th Street N shortly after 9 a.m. when he drove off the road after passing 5th Avenue N.
He then struck a sign and went through a vacant lot before slamming into the house. The driver sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident, police said.
He was the only one in the truck at at the time, and no other injuries were reported. The house was reported to have sustained some minor damage.
