INDIAN SHORES, FL – A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle after she fell from her bike in the westbound lanes of the Park Blvd Bridge Wednesday, IOTB reports.
Sherry Nowotarski, 60, was riding along the bridge when she fell off her bicycle around 6 a.m. The driver of a Dodge Dart, a 41-year-old man, attempted to avoid striking her but was unsuccessful.
First responders took Nowotarski to Bayfront Health to be treated for potentially life-threatening injuries.
The Major Accident Investigation Team of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
