
TAMPA, FL – Troopers responded to a fatal 2-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on MLK, Jr. Blvd near Waring Dr Friday, according to Fox 13.
According to authorities, a 27-year-old man was driving a sedan on eastbound MLK, Jr. Blvd when he turned left into the path of a semi-truck operated by a 53-year-old male. The truck slammed into the passenger side of the sedan. Both vehicles went through a fence and ended up in the front yard of a home.
The truck driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene around 1 a.m. They transported the driver of the sedan to an area hospital with serious injuries around 1 a.m.
