TAMPA, FL – A driver was killed when his pickup truck was involved in a crash with another pickup in Tampa on Tuesday, police said.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the accident happened in the vicinity of N 40th Street and E Fern Street. Tampa police said a man driving a Chevrolet Silverado struck a median while heading north on 40th Street near Fern Street. The vehicle flipped into oncoming traffic and then struck a GMC Sierra head-on.
The Silverado driver, who has not been identified, was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other driver was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police are continuing their investigation into the cause of the accident.
