MANATEE COUNTY, FL – Police say a 70-year-old driver died after his vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer in Manatee County Wednesday afternoon.
According to WWSB, the collision occurred in the area of Moccasin Wallow Road and 36th Avenue East.
The driver of a sedan did not stop at a stop sign at the intersection and was hit by an eastbound semi-truck at about 3:45 p.m., investigators said. The first vehicle overturned and the driver, a Kissimmee resident, died at the scene. The tractor-trailer driver was not hurt.
