
POLK COUNTY, FL – State troopers say a driver died after his vehicle crashed in Polk County Tuesday morning, according to Patch of Lakeland.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the victim was a 44-year-old man from Lakeland who was driving a truck in the inside lane of westbound Interstate 4. The man had a medical emergency near milepost 34 and lost control of his vehicle, which went into a median and then struck nearby cable barriers.
The driver, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.
