
TAMPA, FL – According to WFLA, a driver crashed into a semi-truck near Tampa Heights at speeds over 100 mph Monday.
Willie D. Lloyd had the headlights of his vehicle when he began tailgating another driver on Fl 400. Lloyd then attempted to flee the scene at speeds around 100 mph when he crashed into a semi-truck on the exit ramp from I-4 to I-275.
Lloyd then attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by officers. Police have charged Loyd with leaving the scene of a crash with injury, open liquor bottle, owning a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon, and DUI. Lloyd has also been arrested for a burglary warrant out of Pinellas County.
The condition of the semi-truck driver is unclear at this time. It is also unknown exactly when the crash happened.
