SARASOTA, FL – A search is ongoing for the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 75 in Sarasota that left two people injured.
WWSB reports the incident happened Sunday on I-75 south near State Road 70 at about 12:40 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said a driver who did not slow down for traffic rear-ended a car in front of him, pushing it into a third vehicle. The driver of the first car got out, entered another vehicle, and fled the scene.
Two people suffered minor injuries in the incident. State troopers say the vehicle they are searching for is a red four-door sedan of unknown make and model.
