PINELLAS COUNTY, FL – Authorities say a driver who ran a red light caused a crash in Pinellas County that left six people hospitalized.
WTSP reports the incident happened Sunday afternoon in the area of U.S. 19 and Ulmerton Road in Largo.
According to state troopers, a 28-year-old Manatee County man drove through a red light at the intersection at 3:19 p.m. and collided with a pickup truck, which then overturned and struck another pickup.
The first pickup was driven by a 41-year-old Clearwater man with a 12-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy inside, while the second pickup was driven by a 29-year-old Land O’Lakes man with a 1-year-old girl as his passenger. Those five and the driver of the first car were all seriously injured and transported to an area hospital.
