TAMPA, FL – Police have arrested an alleged drunk driver in connection with a fatal crash on I-4 near 50tn St on Dec 15, WFLA reports.
Jorge Britton, 34, was driving an Audi at excessive speeds when he attempted to pass a Toyota Camry but instead struck it in the rear.
The collision sent Britton’s Audi into the inside shoulder, where it struck a guardrail and was bounced back across the roadway.
First responders transported Britton and his two passengers, a 35-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman, to area hospitals in serious condition around 2 a.m. The driver and passenger inside the Camry died at the scene.
Police have charged Britton with multiple charges, including two counts of vehicular homicide, DUI manslaughter, and DUI serious injury.
