SARASOTA COUNTY, FL – A dump truck crash in Sarasota County Monday afternoon left one person dead and caused power disruptions, WFLA reported.
Officials said the truck was hauling rocks when it crashed on South River Road near Winchester Boulevard in North Port. No details were immediately released on the person who was killed or the circumstances that led to the incident.
The accident toppled major power lines, which were then de-energized. Residents were advised that power could be affected for several hours.
