CLEARWATER, FL – Clearwater police were on the scene of a crash that left an elderly pedestrian injured over the weekend, IONTB reported.
The male victim was struck in the 1200 block of Gulf Boulevard south of the Sand Key Bridge on Saturday at about 5:30 p.m., police said.
The pedestrian was airlifted to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with injuries that were reported to be life-threatening. Police said they were closing the northbound and southbound lanes of Gulf Boulevard to traffic for about two hours while the scene was being cleared.
