NEW PORT RICHEY, FL – A head-on collision on State Road 54 in Pasco County Wednesday night left one of the drivers dead, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a woman lost control of her car while driving on State Road 54 near Rowan Road at about 7:30 p.m. Her vehicle crossed over a median and hit an SUV heading in the opposite direction.
The SUV flipped and the driver, a 29-year-old New Port Richey man, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 25-year-old woman who was a passenger in his vehicle sustained minor injuries. The driver of the car, a 38-year-old woman from Port Richey, and her passenger, a 27-year-old Lutz woman, were not hurt in the accident.
