MANATEE COUNTY, FL – Authorities say a motorcycle accident in Manatee County last week left two people dead.
WWSB reports the victims were a man and a woman riding in the area of U.S. 41 and U.S. 19 in Palmetto Thursday night.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver, a 42-year-old man, was going south on U.S. 41 when he was unable to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle went off the road and into a treeline, and both people were thrown from the bike.
The driver and his passenger, a 48-year-old woman, were pronounced dead at the scene.
