HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – A man died Monday after a rear-ending a semi truck at the intersection of US 301 and Simmons Loop, according to local media reports.
The crash occurred at approximately 1:53 p.m. Monday. A 20-year-old Riverside man failed to stop the power utility truck he was driving and collided with the back end of a tractor trailer stopped at the intersection. The Riverside man was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
