TAMPA, FL – According to WFLA, a man lost his life in a multi-vehicle crash on I-75 SB near Bruce B. Downs Blvd Thursday morning.
The wreck began when an SUV driver lost control of their vehicle and collided with a semi-truck. The collision sent the two vehicles to the other side of I-75 where they struck another SUV and a sedan around 8:20 a.m.
The impact caused the semi-truck and the sedan to hit two more trucks that were stopped on the shoulder. One of the truck’s driver, a 26-year-old male, was standing outside the vehicle and was fatally struck by one of the vehicles.
Rescue crews pronounced the man that was hit dead at the scene of the accident and transported several other people to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
