TAMPA, FL – According to the Tampa Bay Times, a 49-year-old man was killed early this morning when a semi-truck hit his car on Hillsborough Avenue.
The crash happened near Harney Road at around 2:20 a.m. The man was stopped at a light when the semi-truck rear-ended him at speed, pushing his car through the intersection and into a grass median.
The car’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The truck driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.
This incident remains under investigation.
