HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – A collision on U.S. 41 in Hillsborough County left one person dead and two others injured, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a man was riding a motorcycle south on the highway on Wednesday when the accident occurred in the area of Miller Mac Road in Apollo Beach at about 12:45 p.m.
Investigators determined that the driver of a car in front of him made a turn, and the motorcycle crashed into the vehicle. The motorcyclist, a 41-year-old Ruskin man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car and a passenger sustained minor injuries.
