MANATEE CO., FL – A man was killed in Memphis yesterday evening when a sedan struck his motorcycle, WFLA reports.
The Florida Highway Patrol says that the fatal incident happened at about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, when a 28-year-old Palmetto man who had been riding his motorcycle along the grass shoulder of 21st Street E turned began heading west on 12th Avenue E and was struck by a sedan as it made a left turn onto 12th Ave.
The motorcyclist was thrown from his vehicle and died at the scene. His identity has not been released at this time.
Further investigations are ongoing.
