TAMPA, FL – Police in Tampa are investigating an accident that killed a motorcyclist early Monday morning, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Investigators said a man was riding a Honda motorcycle in the area of South 20th Street and Hemlock Street east of Port Tampa Bay when the incident happened shortly after 3 a.m. The rider veered off the roadway and the bike hit a curb. The victim, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say no other vehicles were involved in the crash. It was not yet clear what caused the motorcycle to go off the road.
