
BROOKSVILLE, FL – State troopers said a 65-year-old man died after his motorcycle was struck by a sport utility vehicle in Brooksville Monday morning.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the SUV driver was trying to pull into the parking lot of a Florida Cracker Kitchen restaurant when she entered the path of the motorcyclist as he headed south on Jefferson Street at about 10:40 a.m.
The vehicles collided head-on and the motorcyclist, a Brooksville resident, was pronounced dead at an area hospital. His name was not released. The SUV driver, a 64-year-old woman from Clearwater, was not injured.
