TAMPA, FL – A teenager was killed and two others injured in an accident on northbound I-75 on Friday afternoon.

According to the Tampa Bay Times , a teenage girl was killed when a speeding pickup truck crashed on northbound I-75, north of the E Fletcher Avenue exit.
The pickup truck was traveling at high speeds when its driver lost control while attempting to pass another vehicle. The truck swerved, then overturned, and came to a rest on the side of the road.
A 16-year-old female passenger in the backseat was ejected from the car due to the impact. She was not wearing a seatbelt, and was pronounced dead.
The 16-year-old male driver and and 18-year-old front passenger were both injured in the crash.
An outside lane of northbound I-75 was closed while local authorities cleaned up and investigated the crash.
