LUTZ, FL – A passenger in a car was killed when the vehicle crashed into a tree in Hillsborough County on Tuesday morning, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the incident happened as a woman was driving north on Florida Avenue near Hayes Street in Lutz. The driver lost control of the vehicle at about 10:10 a.m. and the car spun out, going onto a sidewalk. It crashed into two cars that were parked outside an office building and then hit the tree.
The passenger, a 27-year-old man from Orlando, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The driver, a 26-year-old Orlando resident, was seriously injured. Their identities were not released.
