BRADENTON, FL – Police are searching for the driver responsible for a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian critically injured on Tuesday evening.
According to WTSP, the pedestrian was attempting to cross first street outside of a designated crosswalk at about 5:50 p.m.
Police say two vehicles slowed to avoid hitting the pedestrian. However, a third vehicle, a Chevrolet Tahoe, was unable to stop in time and hit the victim.
The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where they remain as of Friday afternoon.
The driver of the Tahoe immediately fled the scene of the crash. It is unclear if any arrests have been made as of this writing.
