LAND O’ LAKES, FL – A pedestrian was struck and killed by an SUV on a Pasco County highway last week, The Suncoast News reports.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the incident on U.S. Highway 41 Wednesday night at about 9:15 p.m. Investigators said a 34-year-old woman was trying to walk across the highway near School Road when she was hit by a vehicle going northbound.
The victim, a resident of Warrenville, Illinois, died of her injuries at an area hospital. The driver of the SUV, a 17-year-old female, was not injured.
No further information was released on the crash.
