TAMPA, FL – Police say a pedestrian walking across a roadway in Tampa was struck and killed by a car Wednesday night, WTSP reports.
The victim was a 39-year-old woman whose name has not yet been released. Investigators said she was crossing East Busch Boulevard near North 18th Street shortly after 9:30 p.m. when she was hit by a Toyota Scion. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 22-year-old driver is cooperating with investigators, police said. The crash shut down a portion of East Busch Boulevard for about three hours.
