HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – According to the Tampa Bay Reporter, a woman was killed early Monday morning when she was struck by a pickup truck while walking on Hillsborough Avenue.
The crash took place around 4:15 a.m., west of Carmack Road. The 53-year-old pedestrian was hit while walking east in the westbound lanes. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The pickup truck was driven by a 79-year-old man who was not injured in the accident.
