MANATEE COUNTY, FL – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident in Manatee County Saturday night, according to WWSB.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the victim was crossing U.S. 41 near Orlando Avenue when he was hit by a northbound car shortly before 9:30 p.m. He was then struck again by a van going north on the highway in an outside travel lane.
The pedestrian, a 58-year-old man from Bradenton, was pronounced dead at the scene. State troopers determined that he was crossing U.S. 41 in an area where there are no crosswalks when he was hit.
No other injuries were reported.
