PASCO COUNTY, FL – Authorities are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck the SUV of a Florida state trooper Wednesday morning, according to WTSP.
The driver of a Hyundai Sonata sideswiped the Florida Highway Patrol vehicle in the area of US 41 and State Road 54 in Pasco County, the FHP said.
Investigators said the car was making a right turn when it partially entered the center lane and struck the patrol cruiser as it was going through the intersection. The driver then went into a pharmacy parking lot, back onto U.S. 41 and left the scene. No one was injured in the crash.
The vehicle sought was described as a gray 2004-2009 model Hyundai Sonata. Anyone with information was asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol.
